Doodle Shooter Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how DoodleShooter.online ("Doodle Shooter", "we", "us") handles information when you visit the website or play Doodle District. You can play the game without creating an account.

Information We Process

Depending on the features you use, we may process:

• Gameplay and challenge data: challenge version and seed, map, score, wave, kills, survival time, top weapon, Boss kills, run timestamps and an automatically generated anonymous leaderboard label.
• Analytics data: page views, gameplay events, sharing actions, approximate device and browser information, and referral or campaign information. We do not send player names, complete shared URLs or score-card images to analytics.
• Technical data: IP address, request headers, browser type, operating system, diagnostic information and security or rate-limit events that may be processed by us or our hosting provider.
• Multiplayer data: a lobby code, the display name you choose, connection metadata and gameplay messages needed to establish and run a match.
• Optional account or support data: if you choose to use an account or contact support, we process the email address, profile information and message content you provide.

Cookies and Local Storage

Doodle Shooter uses browser storage for essential operation and preferences:

• An HttpOnly doodle_player cookie stores a random identifier for up to one year. The server hashes it before associating leaderboard entries, and the public leaderboard shows an anonymous label such as INK-AB12.
• A referral cookie may remember a sanitized campaign source for up to 30 days.
• Local storage keeps game preferences and local progress such as audio settings, selected options and personal best scores.
• Google Analytics may set or read analytics cookies in accordance with Google's technologies and your browser settings.

Clearing site data in your browser removes locally stored preferences and identifiers. It does not automatically delete leaderboard records already stored on our servers; you may contact us to request assistance.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the game, preserve preferences, generate challenges, provide anonymous leaderboards, establish multiplayer sessions, understand feature usage, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and improve performance.

We do not sell personal information. Challenge URLs contain gameplay parameters intended for sharing, but do not include a nickname or account identity.

Multiplayer and WebRTC

Multiplayer uses PeerJS signalling and WebRTC to connect browsers. Signalling services process connection identifiers and metadata needed to introduce peers. WebRTC may reveal network information, including an IP address, to other participants or connection infrastructure. Do not use a multiplayer display name that reveals information you do not want other players to see.

Service Providers

We rely on service providers to operate the site, including Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, security and database infrastructure; Google Analytics for usage measurement; and PeerJS/WebRTC infrastructure for multiplayer signalling and connectivity. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and Security

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature, maintain leaderboard integrity, prevent abuse, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ between analytics, security logs, support messages and gameplay records.

We use safeguards such as HTTPS, access controls, hashed anonymous identifiers, same-origin request checks and rate limiting. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Doodle Shooter is not directed to children who are below the age at which they may consent to online data processing in their country. If you are not old enough to consent, use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. A guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us.

Your Choices and Rights

You can block or clear cookies and local storage through your browser, although some leaderboard, preference or sign-in features may stop working. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
